MCVILLE, I can't wait to see you!!! It's easy to see how important McVille has been in all of our lives by the words that are written here. I've learned that we all share something unique that not everyone in the country grew up with. McVille is a very special place. For everyone back home making this Centennial happen I'd like to express my deepest gratitude. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Gee, everyone who writes in to this web site sounds homesick for the place. Well, me too. I've been marooned east of the Mississippi (I can spell that thanks to Mrs. Dahlburg) River for 25 years and savor every day I can spend in N. Dakota. Yesterday I heard an old country song by Tom T. Hall, "A Million Miles to the City," that expresses it all perfectly. Hope to see lots of people this summer.

I lived in McVille from 1st to 6th grade before moving to Grand Forks, ND in 1983 to live with my Mother Pat (Vaughan - Polasky) Knutson. I've settled in Fargo with my family: daughters Alicia and Casi and son Adrian and wife-to-be Jessica. McVille is the place where I first fell in love, first caught a big fish (5 lb rainbow trout), first rebelled (GATE NIGHT!!!!), first so many things...... I moved from McVille at 13 but when I tell my kids stories of days when I was young and the days always seemed bright and full of promise, it's McVille I'm thinking of... God bless, McVille. I moved away to soon. Anyone wanting to chat feel free to email me. Take care. Chris Polasky

There is nothing quite like the feeling of going back home! McVille has some of the friendliest people I have ever known. I am looking forward to seeing my classmates and those from the years around '86. Wow that seems like a long time ago...could it already be 20 years??!!

My mother is Ardyth (Anderson) Slinde. My father was Alden Slinde. The last time she was back there was the summer of 1999. I will be bringing my mother back for the reunion and centeniel celebration this summer. We look forward to visiting with many relatives of mine and old friends of my mothers. See you then

Class of 1964. McVille brings back a lot of good memories. Since I was a quiet individual, I didn't block streets on Gate Night, drag race on main street, go to parties or park at the elevators, But I Know the people that did !!!!!! See you in July.

McVille holds so many memories for me. It really was nice growing up in small-town North Dakota. My kids enjoy the small-town life as well when we visit Grandpa Darrell and Grandma Kay.

Looking forward to "a hot time in the old town" in July, and especially looking forward to seeing many classmates from Class of '61 (most of whom I have not seen or been in touch with since our graduation). McVille, you've been in my heart since I left you 40+ years ago!
