I was just thinking of my Dad today, Edward Levi Alm, who was born in McVille on this day, Jan 21, in 1918. I enjoyed looking at the old pictures on this website, which is probably how it looked in 1918. He spent most of his life after WWII in Indianapolis, IN. He did visit McVille again about 1989 and I have his pictures. He died in 1999.

I was in McVille during Christmas, 2007. I was so touched by the lights in the Park. I know that it takes time and energy to put the display together, but it added such warmth to our town. Thanks to everyone with the great ideas and the creativity! Wishing you the best in 2008!

After living around the world, I decided to come home to North Dakota. There really is no other place on earth I'd rather be. Bought a small farmstead outside of Page and have slowly been renovating it. Poor health kept me from the all-class reunion, but I would sure love to hear from some of my classmates of 1954.

I was in McVille this summer for the first time in many years. We went golfing and had a great time. Your course is a great little course. I have many fond memories of summer vacations visiting my cousins in McVille it was nice to visit again.

As the new year begins, reflecting back on the happenings of 2006 seems right to do. One of the best things I did this past year was attend the all-school reunion during the McVille Centennial. Although I didn't see many of the teachers (with the exception of Bjornstad, Dalburg, Loibl, Schmitt) with whom I taught from 1977-1983, I did get to see many members of those classes. You are not "kids" anymore, but you will always be "my kids" in my heart and memory. It was swell to see you all. I would have liked to spend a little more time with the Reitens, Loftus boys, Ringdahls, JoAnne Bye, The Loe kids, the Twete kids, and I could list many more of you. I saw lots of you, but missed just as many. Best wishes in the new year, and THANKS to all the citizens of McVille for the wonderful organization of a wonderful event!

Hi All, I realized that I have a message on here with an old email address, so I wanted to update it. It would have been great to come to the Centennial Celebration this summer to see people. However, traveling has been quite difficult for me recently. Last time I was in McVille was in 2004. I would love to hear from classmates and other old friends.

I went to school in McVille from preschool to 1st grade. My mother Pam was the math teacher and we left for St. Thomas, ND in the spring of 1977. My best friends were Nancy Varty, Brin Hegan and Becky Lovejoy. I really missed them growing up and hope that they are doing well.

Great time! I have heard of some towns that have all-school reunions every 10 years instead of each class meeting for 5-10-15 year reunions on their own...I bet all of you that had to do all the work to put the celebration together are shaking your heads as you read this - but it was so much fun to see so many people from so many classes. Thank you for all that work

I would just like to congratulate McVille for a very successful event. It shows the pride and hard work that went into the centenniel/reunion. You should be very proud of yourselves.

I had an exceptional time visiting "my hometown" for the Centennial and Reunion. I want to thank all the folks that did all the hard work of planning the whole event. It was great to see my classmates who could make it, visit with old friends and relatives and take time to remember the past. A good time was had by all!!! Thanks for the memories, Russ Lofthus
