I was born in McVille in 1947. My father was Louis Flom who was raised there by an aunt and uncle, Martin and Christine Flom. I haven't been there in over 20 years, but am looking forward to a visit soon. I remember going there for the diamond jubilee as a child. does anyone there remember my dad?

I have fond memories of "God's Country." Nice site! Every year, my Neb. native husband HAS to comment on the pronunciation of MAC-ville. He just can't understand why it's "mac" rather than "mick" as in "McHenry". We'll probably be 80 years old, driving through on our way to Tolna, still debating over the Mc/Mac thing. ha!

My grampa Melvin Olsgard and his family were from here and I see from Olsgard street that this must be true. I would enjoy any stories about any of my family members good or bad. It sure looks like a beautiful town with stength and integrity.

I GRADUATED FROM McVILLE HIGH IN 1946. I HAVE ONLY BEEN BACK ONE TIME (FOR MY 46TH CLASS REUNION). I REALLY DID NOT RECOGNIZE MY OLD HOME TOWN BUT I SURE ENJOYED THE REUNION. IF ANYONE STILL REMEMBERS ME....DROP ME AN E-MAIL.

Very excited to be spending more time back in the great town of McVille. Last year we moved back to Valley City North Dakota after teaching in Montana for 9 years. It's great to have my 2 daughters close to what I call home - MCVILLE

Isn't it strange how you can't wait to go out into the world and spread your wings, and yet you always find yourself going back to your roots? Even though McVille seems like such a SMALL town now, it's huge in hospitality. I wish my kids could experience the same things I did growing up, instead of some the harsher things that the world has to offer now-days. I would love to hear from anyone/everyone! I'm from the great class of '88! God bless! chrissy

I'm researching the life of a deaf native Minnesotan who played baseball as a pitcher and catcher for McVille in 1907; on 6-27-07 the McVille Journal said other pitchers on the team were named "Kittle" and "Gib Cain" in games against Tolna and Northwood. Pictures, anyone?

Just playing around on the web and discovered McVille's site. What an awsome job of putting it together. I'll be home for Thanksgiving 2002 - first time in 18 years! Keep up the great work.
