I recently made a trip to McVille, to attend my grandmothers' funeral (Helen Patterson). I really enjoy the small town "feel" of McVille, and had a wonderful time, considering the reason for the trip. I always enjoy visiting and spending time with my relatives there. Judy and Curt Twete are my aunt and uncle. I must say, McVille may be small, but the people there are as large as life itself. Save a deer-hunting trip for me Brian (Twete).

Hi, does anyone in McVille or the surrounding area remember Carol Johnson Olson. I know she would love to hear from any on the old friends that she had back there. Her parents were Fred and Clara Johnson. She had a sister whose name is Frances. You can email me and I will give the message to her. Thanks....

I just found McVille's website-wonderful! How I miss living there. It's funny how fast you want to grow up and leave, but how soon you would love to move back. Unfortunately, I don't get to come up as often as I would like. My daughter wants daddy to get a job at the bowling alley so we can live there! What a great community-keep the spirit!

Repeat Inquiry: Does anyone with "roots" in McVille have knowledge and/or possession of photos of the 1907 McVille baseball team? The subject of my research (Esten Hanson) was a deaf mute who pitched and caught for McVille for most of that summer until he returned to his Minnesota parental home. His sister (Sarah) and brother-in-law, Frank Lindberg, operated a cafe in McVille at the time; and one of his brothers (Hans Hanson) and wife lived there also. Esten worked in the newspaper office on occasion and was a field hand on threshing crews during harvest. Any response will be very much appreciated.
